In today’s job market, many candidates are doing what feels like the right thing - spending hours applying for roles online, tailoring CVs, and clicking “submit” across multiple platforms. And yet, the response is often limited. For many, this creates a frustrating disconnect of high effort, low return. The reality is that while online applications remain part of the process, they are rarely the most effective route to securing meaningful roles.
